The Cadillac Optiq has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. These airbags help prevent the driver and front passenger from sliding under their seatbelts or the main frontal airbags; this keeps them better positioned during a collision for maximum protection. Knee airbags also help keep the legs from striking the dashboard, preventing knee and leg injuries in the case of a serious frontal collision. The Electrified GV70 doesn’t offer a front passenger side knee airbag.

The Cadillac Optiq’s rear backup camera has a standard washer for maintaining a clear view under various conditions. In contrast, the Genesis Electrified GV70 does not offer a rear camera washer, meaning its effectiveness relies on manual cleaning by the user when necessary.

The Optiq’s standard tires provide better handling because they have a lower 50 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Electrified GV70’s standard 55 series tires. The Optiq’s optional tires have a lower 40 series profile than the Electrified GV70 AWD Advanced/Prestige’s 45 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Optiq has standard 20-inch wheels. Smaller 19-inch wheels are standard on the Electrified GV70. The Optiq’s optional 21-inch wheels are larger than the 20-inch wheels on the Electrified GV70 AWD Advanced/Prestige.

The Cadillac Optiq’s wheels have 6 lugs for longer wheel bearing life, less chance of rotor warping and greater strength. The Genesis Electrified GV70 only has 5 wheel lugs per wheel.

Having a flat tire is dangerous, inconvenient and expensive. The self-sealing tires standard on the Optiq can automatically seal most punctures up to 3/16 of an inch, effectively preventing most flat tires. The Electrified GV70 doesn’t offer self-sealing tires.

The Optiq has variable-assist power steering, for low-effort parking, better control at highway speeds and during hard cornering, and a better feel of the road. The Electrified GV70 doesn’t offer variable-assist power steering.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Optiq’s wheelbase is 3.1 inches longer than on the Electrified GV70 (116.3 inches vs. 113.2 inches).

The front grille of the Optiq uses electronically controlled shutters to close off airflow and reduce drag when less engine cooling is needed. This helps improve highway fuel economy. The Electrified GV70 doesn’t offer active grille shutters.

Unlike the driver-only memory system in the Electrified GV70 Advanced/Prestige, the Optiq Premium/V-Series has a passenger memory, so that when drivers switch, the memory setting adjusts the driver’s seat and outside mirror angle and the front passenger seat also adjusts to the new passenger’s preset preferences.

If the windows are left open on the Optiq the driver can close all of them from a distance using the remote. On a hot day the driver can also lower the windows the same way. The driver of the Electrified GV70 can only close the windows from inside the vehicle, with the ignition on.

The Cadillac Optiq has power folding mirrors that offer unparalleled convenience while maneuvering in tight places or parked. With the mirrors folded it’s easier to walk past and help prevent parking damage. The mirrors can be quickly unfolded when the driver is ready to leave. Power folding mirrors are only offered on the Electrified GV70 Advanced/Prestige.

The Optiq has a standard heated steering wheel to take the chill out of steering on extremely cold winter days before the vehicle heater warms up. A heated steering wheel is only available on the Electrified GV70 Advanced/Prestige.

The Optiq is available in both rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive configurations. The Electrified GV70 doesn’t offer a two-wheel drive configuration.
